Nilambher unable to find employment and he is unable to pay back the loan. Now he and his wife are in critical situations. In the meantime the contractor Deodhar has his eye on Biraj's beauty. Later, Nilambhar goes to a nearby town for two days. On his return rumors are rife that Biraj was seen near Deodhar's place. Biraj refuses to explain herself and is thus evicted.
