Today our youth have left off this tradition in large numbers. Our youth believe it is more important to memorize song lyrics from some filthy musician than it is to memorize the Quran. Our youth also spend countless hours listening to the words of those immoral kuffaar while ignoring the Speech of Allah entirely. We live in a depressing time.
Therefore, it becomes our duty as Students of Knowledge to remind the people what they have forgotten, to advise the people to focus on what they have neglected, and to shine a light on the One Thing that brings them benefit in this life and the next.
Allah sent down the Quran for our benefit, so let us be grateful. Let us memorize the Book of Allah, seek to understand the Book of Allah and implement the Book of Allah in our lives. This is how we should live, and this is definitely the state we wish to die in. May Allah keep us firm on this Deen until we meet Him!”
