ಭಗವಂತ ಇದ್ದಾನಾ? ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರೇತಾತ್ಮವಿದೆಯಾ? ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೇಗೆ ಭಗವಂತನ ಸುತ್ತ ಗುಡಿ, ಗೋಪುರ, ಕಳಶ, ಮಂತ್ರ, ಆಚರಣೆಗಳು ಬೆಳೆದುಕೊಂದಿವೆಯೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ ವಾಮವಿದ್ಯೆಯೂ ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ. ಮಾಟ, ಕೈ ಮುಸುಗು, ಮದ್ದು, ವಶೀಕರಣ, ಶವ ಸಾಧನೆ, ಶವ ಭೋಜನ, ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಜೀವನ-ಹೀಗೆ ನೂರೆಂಟು, ಸುಮಾರು ಇಪ್ಪತೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕುತೂಹಲ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದವನು ನಾನು. ಅದೇ ಗುಂಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದೆ. ಮೊದಲನೆಯದು 'ಮಾಟಗಾತಿ'. ಎರಡನೆಯದು 'ಸರ್ಪ ಸಂಬಂಧ'. ಎರಡೂ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ತಳುಕು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಂತಿವೆ. ಕೂತೂಹಲವಿದ್ದವರು ಓದಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು.
