“Book Descriptions: This book was revised and edited between November of 2024 and March of 2025.

A note from LC :
If you read The Dread Descendant on a site like Ocean of PDF, you read the version I basically published on Wattpad. An adolescent draft in comparison to the book that exists today, if you will.

My goodness, how we have grown! After signing an audiobook deal with Podium Entertainment (thanks to all your support!) some changes were made to The Dread Descendant. Great ones!

There are differences in how the magical university works, some elements of the magic system, and MAJOR errors. I’m talking main characters' names spelled wrong because I had no idea what I was doing and didn’t have legitimate professional editing help before putting The Dread Descendant on KU. (Back to that how we have grown statement.)

If you read this old version and were perturbed by the amount of errors, I get it. But unfortunately, the illegal download sites don’t care about updating the manuscript to the revised and edited version that matches the audiobook and current publication.

About The Dread Descendant:

Some bloodlines won't stay buried. . .

At Vaukore, the most prestigious Magical university in all seven realms, Maeve Sinclair is content to study Practical Magic. At least until Malachite Peur, the youngest Supreme Magical in history, makes a tempting offer to train her in Combative Magic instead.

Soon the pair find themselves on a search for powerful Magical objects that haven't been seen in centuries. While a prophecy unravels around them, they navigate politics, war, and their forbidden union.

After all. . . blood calls to blood. Like calls to like.

And Magic calls to Magic.”
