“Book Descriptions: Books 1-3 of the West Wales Murder Mysteries Series:

Book 1: A Body on the Beach
Detective Norman Norman is out of retirement and back solving murders, while mentoring a team of misfits in a sleepy Welsh seaside town. But he’s barely begun when a woman’s body washes up on the beach.

It will take all Detective Norman’s experience to whip his band of misfits into shape to catch a killer.

Book 2: A Body of Confusion
Human remains and a lonely pile of clothes on the beach. Is it murder, suicide...or an impossible conundrum?

Detective Sergeant Norman likes the idea of a permanent home in the small Welsh coastal town. With his reinvented career invigorating him, he finds himself enjoying working for his younger female DI. But when she asks him to investigate a puzzling seaside suicide, his first job is to find the corpse belonging to the discarded clothing left on the sand....

With the deceased man’s remains presumed lost at sea, DS Norman believes his case has run up a blind alley...until local builders dig up a female human skull. And now with a pair of unsolved deaths on his hands, the dogged policeman’s work takes a tricky turn when he discovers an astonishing link between them.

Can the shrewd detective solve a complex puzzle and lay two souls to rest?

Book 3: A Body in the Lane
On a cold, late evening in January, Llangwelli Police receive a mysterious 999 call. No-one speaks, and the only sound before the line goes dead is ragged breathing.

The call is traced to Dragon Barn Lane, a narrow, pitch-black stretch of road that’s rarely used. Detective Judy Lane is the only officer on hand, and knows she shouldn’t go alone, but what if someone is seriously hurt?

Detective Norman receives a call from Judy at the scene, requesting backup. He races over, only to find a dead man in leathers sitting against a tree, and the young detective unconscious nearby.

If the biker is dead, who attacked Judy? And who made the 999 call?

Next morning Detective Norman’s team find the body of a young woman by a ditch near the scene of the incident.

Llangwelli doesn’t normally see serious crime, but with two dead bodies, something — or someone — very nasty has visited this quiet little harbour town.

It’s up to Detective Norman to uncover the truth — before any more of his young team get hurt.”
