I started the first volume at 16 and finished it at 25. I was going through a major life change. It became one of my favorite books because it captures honest feelings and of course, my voice. Something I lived through most of my life without.
The” I Was Never Broken” collection became a favorite worldwide. It’s hit the best-seller charts on Amazon on multiple occasions. It received a lot of beautiful feedback and some not so much. I’m thankful for anyone taking the time to read my work regardless. The grammar might not be perfect and you may come across a mistake but the one thing I try to always bring is the ability to leave knowing we’re all human and mistakes aren’t something that defines us and the message is more powerful than the way it’s spoken. I believe that’s why we’re here; to find ourselves in others, to find inspiration and healing. I am here to tell my story in the most imperfect way.
In this collection, I will include pieces I wrote back from when I was younger, which will include a time and date stamp or an acknowledgment that it was when I was (whatever age I was when I wrote it). The dates will not be in order. There are no sections. So, prepare for an emotional roller coaster. I also added little hearts on the end of the pages of my favorite pieces! I hope you enjoy this collection.
