“Book Descriptions: “There are three sides to every story. I decide the truth.” – Loki
A magical cloak.
A truth-telling vat.
A secret affair.
A glimpse of fate.
Two gods bound by oath, blood, and lies.
Myth—Truth—Illusion.
Can the god of lies become the god of truths?
Asgard, home of the gods. Abundant beauty, endless possibilities, and many secrets.
Loki, the Norse trickster and blood brother to Odin, has spun his own web of deceit. Tangled in oaths, lies, and hidden affairs, his own truth haunts him.
While Odin builds an army of the dead, Loki ponders Urd’s Well, a place deep in the earth where truth lives.
In those waters all knowledge resides. When the only vessel powerful enough to contain the water is stolen by the giants, all bets are off. The god of mischief catches a glimpse of his doom in a series of prophetic dreams, and he will go to any length to stop that fate from coming true. Even if it means journeying to the land of giants to steal back the elusive treasure of the gods for himself.
There, Loki engages with another master of illusion in the contest of his life and discovers he is not alone in his quest for this vat. An unlikely friend stands at his side.
Who will triumph at the end?
Includes the bonus short story “Loki’s Tale.”
There is one thing I will be transparent about. They don’t call me liesmith for nothing, or silver-tongued god of mischief, or whatever other hundreds of names float about the nine realms. I earned them all—without apology. Personally, I like Loki. It’s simple. To the point. Catchy.
Nevertheless, I, Loki, am aware of my imperfections—the few that I have. Okay, okay, I’m a bit vain too, but can you blame me?
But know this: we all have them, those little nuances which make us unique, special, and dare I say interesting. Without them, without jealousy, without greed or lust, without mistakes or secrets, our stories would be rather boring. Wouldn’t you agree?
But back to my tale. Go ahead, get comfy and allow me to regale you with the story about the time I, the god of lies, became the god of truths. We all have secrets, and secrets are where this tale begins. But remember, there are three sides to every story: myth, truth, and illusion. I know what the truth is. You can choose to believe me or not.”
